Melissa Jacobson, Assistant Director
Melissa Jacobson is the Assistant Director at Stoughton Senior Living. She takes great pride in caring for the elderly. She leads her team with open communications to provide quality care for our residents. In her down time, she enjoys turkey hunting in the Spring and deer hunting in the Winter months along with gardening in the Summer.
Abby Vike, Health Services Coordinator
Abby Vike has worked in the healthcare field for 12 years. She has a passion for caring for the elderly. She started in the healthcare field because of her great grandpa who was living in a nursing home at the time. She was completely grateful to all the care staff for everything they were doing for him. She wanted to pay it forward. Outside of work she takes care of her 2 boys and loves to spend time with her family.
Becky Norgord, Dining Service Director
I work at this senior living facility because I like the residents. I sometimes like to cook their favorite foods. I love their stories and where they have been in their life. The scenery is beautiful as well as the building. I like that one small change can make the residents happy like a coffee pot on the table. I like that most of us do make a difference in the residents life. I like that you can speak your mind if you need to. I know most of the staff are very passionate about what we are here for and that is the residents. I like that my job is never boring so no day is the same. I like the look on their face when a food I made becomes a favorite. In my spare time, I work with my cats and other people to help them understand better. I like to sew, garden, and go to the movies with my husband. I also spend time with my mother who is 87 and still lives on her own. In the Summer, Bob and I go out in our fishing boat.
Gail DeYoung, Life Engagement Director
I find it very fulfilling working at Stoughton. I have worked in long term care for over 30 some years. This community enables the residents to be a family, socializing, sharing concerns and friendship. Most of the residents have a willingness to learn, try new activities and engage in interests from their past. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters, enjoying nature, hiking, gardening, and looking at Pinterest for projects. I enjoy sewing/quilting and making blankets for charity.
